I bought cv boots from MB dealer for my 91 560sel. The inners are available as a kit, the outer ones do not come with grease or clamps. The grease is not available from dealer on its own but I was able to get the clamps from the dealer. The counter staff were suggesting to use wheel bearing grease which I refuse to use. I did a search and found a tube of Liqui Moly cv grease.
Would appreciate any feedback/opinions on this product and insight on the job as a whole. There have been discussions on wether to use grease or oil for these cv shafts but I’ve only ever used special cv grease on these joints.
TIA.

@gogi - You are thinking right. Use special CV grease. Liqui Moly is very good.
