I got my rear brake pads...

There were two part numbers on the box...

A 004 420 25 20 (in big print on the box)
A 000 423 84 10 (small print on the box and written on each pad) I paid $108 plus shipping

It says 461, 461, and 903 on the box.

but i also have A 004 420 24 20 in my little parts list i'm building? Did i write it down wrong?

I don't have any "sensors" with the pads, whatever the look like. Not that i care (though i thought that's what i ordered) since i can just look at them on the truck, but what's the part number/cost for those "sensored" pads?

thanks ahead of time to any and all...

Hi Erik,

I do not have a clue about the numbers. My truck has rear "shoes". However, in the front pads on a 123 chassis Mercedes, the pads have a drilling down into the pad for a sensor to fit into. Do you see a drilling down into the back side of the friction material that a sensor would fit into? The sensors detect a wear limit on the pad material and illuminate a warning light. The sensors themselves are likely a seperate part.
Part of the confusion with MB numbers is that they give a new part number to a different manufacturers part for the same application. In many cases with brake parts there are three or more numbers for the same part. ATE, Bendix, Lucas Girling, Brembo, Perrot etc.
