working on a 1990 1750, got the front calipers moving and replaced the lines and pads. Replaced the lines on the back and trying to get the pads to move, released the parking brake (which is working) can only get the calipers to move a little but not enough to event get the pads out is there something I am missing? Is there a bypass for the ebrake or something that needs to be screwed out.

There is an adjusting screw. It is used to set the distance of the pads to the disk. Do you have the repair manuals?

IIRC that's reverse of a 404 where up is tight (tighten up) and down is lose.

It's a while since I've adjusted the brakes on a 404 though!
