Hi folks i'm considering buiying a 208 and stopping using my SL for winter soon.

I have a set of 8.5x18 and 10x18 et25's which I think I can use as per 55 AMG 208 CLK's.

Should I be ok with them with a non AMG car (arch preperation...)

What tyre sizes, 255/35 18's on rear, 235/40's front?

Thanks

Bump!

Ok, I get the feeling not that many people are running these sizes...

But maybe some? I've done some searching and as I thought they should pretty much be ok, but i'm just a little concerned about rear arch rubbing? Any advice or info like spring pads?

Thanks again

Yeah watch out with the rub. Seems like (been a while since I looked the numbers up!) a 9" tire was a wide as you could go, without modification. 18" will look VERY good, but just watch out for that width. A little bump with a little speed could spell disaster to that pretty bodywork.
