Hello All. I've been a longtime stalker of this forum, however just a week ago I got my first Mercedes, a 1985 300TD Turbo. Among many issues I have to fix is that the outer ring on the Mercedes star emblem broke off cleanly from the hatch. The star is still firmly attached, however I'm not sure how to reattach the ring. I've read that in 1985 Mercedes started gluing the emblems on, should I simply use some goo gone to clean the area, then some sort of epoxy to reattach it? Also I have the original paint of this vehicle, will either of those products negatively affect the paint?
