I did two very minor upgrades that cleaned the look of my vehicle. I purchased MB center caps $36 for 4, with the chrome MB Star in the middle, which was different from the original all grey center caps, good buy in my opinion. Also, I added a chrome look to my outer window pannels, verses the copper like look that it has. I purchased, chrome tape from Kregan, than took my time, and slowly applied to window sill. Soooooooo many people watched me doing this and was complimenting me on trying this, and the new look of the vehicle, if you have time try it, its also fun and relaxing if your the type that relaxes by working..LOL. I had fun doing it. It will take several tries, credit card (VON's CARD) and razor, oh a very very steady hand. I am still working on it and will post pics once I perfect the look. Oh, also the chrome tape is cheap, "$6.00 to $9.00 for 8" x 14' of chrome tape, plenty to make mistakes and re-apply. Lemme know whats your opinion.

I cant forget the new window whiper blade, the original got realy bad, left ugly streaks, the new one I purchased is the New Style blade with out the metel extention arm, ITS THE BEST. I was using it just to use it...LOL. $25, gives much better look to the vehicle and works on a superior level.

Here are the pics. I am still working on the look, but I like it better and it makes a small but noticable difference. What ya'll think?

I think chrome splashes always look good on black, white, red and green MBs, but on the brilliant or desert silver it somehow just looks wrong. Looks nice on your black 210, thanks for the pics.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

The caps are a good idea as a lot of the original grey ones are flaking after several years. The plain grey ones are cheaper than the chrome ones; regardless of which you buy new ones will keep your car looking fresh.

Thank you, actualy I used my camera phone to take the pics, it looks 100% better in person and makes the vehicle look alot bigger. Yesterday another MB owner stopped and was looking at my car and couldnt figure out what was different, he had thought I traded my car in for a newer model. Simple and clean look. Yes it looks better on darker color vehicles. I am very interested in perfecting the method and it is 100% cheaper than getting it dipped in chrome. I am actualy going to vigure out a way to get the measurements and preferation sizing down so I can post a template on line. It does make a big different haveing done this, and I get alot more looks now then b4

I like the chrome tape work you did yourself. You gave it a nice look without spending a lot of money having someone else do it, I really respect that. Plus, using that new design wipe is probably getting the most out of the wiper mechanical design because I think that wiper design has more contact pressure points.

Your right, and believe it or not, it is only a $5 difference btwn OEM wiper blade and new design, and trust me it works super great. For the chrome tape, I was thinking about it for months and looked at soooooo many models of the same year, and man once I did I said to my self that is what was needed. Note: its not easy, and you must realy realy take your time. I will be doing it over so as I may perfect a method and post the specs on how to, but man, once you do it, you will complete appreciate the shine your car gives off. ;)

Whiper & Tape

LQQking good! What type of wiper is that? and do you think there is any chance of the chrome tape peeling in the near future?
I dont have the name of the whiper off the top, but I will post tomarrow, realy good price from Kregan or Auto Zone, 22" $25 well worth it. As far as the tape, no on the pealing. Its realy realy cool. There are drawbacks, for one if applied incorrectly you will have bubbling issues, easily solved by taking your time on application process, also you must have a real steady hand on cutting, my assumption is if I used a blow dryer as I was applying the fitting into the grove of the window with VON's CARD, it would shape itself, but I am highly interested in taking a template approach and creating a method of direct cut and fit, which in my opinion can and will be done, dramatic upgrade for $6.oo and 3 hours. I will get the name tomarrow, I still have the packaging. I will take a pick, to my knowledge its 22" in length, but wow easy application and way better performance.
