Does anybody know a good and reasonable priced Re-Upholstery Company, which can redo the seating cushions of the front seats ?
If you could get the URL for me that would be great. Have you used them ? How is the quality and color match ?I have had the same concern as my passanger seat seems to be tearing and cracking. I have looked into and found a company that sells replacemet leather seats for the 140. The URL is on another computer so I can get it tomorrow for you. I will say though that it appears to be a VERY involved DIY project. The seat must come out, which involves a lot of disconnections (think about what all these seats do!)
For comparison, a Dealership quote from January, 2010:Does anybody know a good and reasonable priced Re-Upholstery Company, which can redo the seating cushions of the front seats ?
For comparison, a Dealership quote from January, 2010:
Seat Bottom: $795.00, 140-910-03-46-8F33
Seat Back: $950.00, 140-910-03-47-8F33
Labor: 4 hours, approximately $440.00.
The MB-dealer would remove the driver's seat, check for proper operation, etc, and reinstall.
Expensive, but they assured me the new seat would look as the seats were when my 1997 was new, etc.
