I'm getting a rattle from the area of the PS pump....sounds like bad bearings or something. I've replaced it with a brand new one but the noise is still there. A couple of things have been suggested:

(1) Make sure there's no air trapped in the system....do the "lock-to-lock" thing.
(2) Remove the serpentine belt and make sure the noise is pulley driven. It just might be the AC compressor since it's mounted just beneath the PS pump.

Can anyone think of another place I should be looking? The noise is driving me crazy!!

Thanks!

The A/C compressor possibly (there have been some bearing failures on that) and/or good time to check the belt tensioner since the original design (now replaceed with a updated design) was very prone to premature failure.

Keep the beat !
