I've got these on mine! Got them a eBay a few years ago for less than £20. The bars screw into holes on the inside of the door shuts, at the top. :grin

1993 Mercedes-Benz S500 - Cloth interior from Japan! Currently for sale in Australia.

Interesting but for me the leather interior is one of the really nice features of our cars.

Back in the 90s someone offered me a hard top Corniche with a dark green velor interior. "Lovely" :crying but had I bought that car I would have switched it to leather at some point.

Indeed rare -- this appears to be the MB Japanese market-only navigation called CNS (option codes 350a and 498).

i've seen some w140s equipped with those in the states, they are on sale and online but their prices go damn high

I thought this was interesting. Glove box trim piece. This is for a RHD non airbag equipped car so they're can't be many of them around. (The airbag version may be the same) I Googled the part number and nothing came up. I bought some trim to replace some damaged pieces for my interior and this came with the set. I wont be using it because I have a 400SE but I thought I should include here anyway.

The knowledge on the early car is thinning out. This subject has been discussed before. I myself didn't know about, even though I am a proud owner of one of the first 600SECs produced.

Great work Steve! I have always wondered about that wood trim, as I've seen far too many Euro spec 600SEL's with the 600SEL badging. Great work finding the part number too sc_rufctr

Don't feel disappointed. It's not in good condition. Lots of smaller scratches.

If you see the early W140 promotion videos , most of the car had it. I think the car Jermy Clarkson used for the show also had it.
