Hello everybody,
Need to replace rare brake cables 107 420 23 85 on my car (1987 560SL). There are two rare brake cables. Are they the same (identical) or left and right? Mercedes dealer quoted me using one part number but I am a bit confused finding this part in the online shop and it says 'left rare cable' there. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Dan.

Not all dealer parts departments are created equal.

The Barrie dealership parts department is outstanding due to who manages it.

Ask for John Brunner.

My local Etobicoke dealer quoted me 600 CAD for a pair. I ordered them for less than 200USD a pair in the States this morning. Will get them shipped to my co-worker in Buffalo. I hope they have them in stock.

I got my cables replaced. Cost me $300 CAD for parts with shipping and $200 CAD labour. As I mentioned earlier, Mercedes quoted me over $600 CAD just for parts.
