Any advice on jacking the GLk to rest on jack stands? Can’t seem to find the jackpoint on the car.

i was fortunate to be able to change the oil because the car was high enough off the ground. But if I ever want to diy brakes, i will need to get this thing on a jack stand.

If you are using the jack in the trunk, you are pretty much limited to the jack points described in the owners manual due to it's design. If you have a floor jack, simply center it under the front suspension (after removing the undercarriage cover of course). That's what I do when doing the brakes, etc. Be sure to chock the wheels!
