I have a 2000 W220 and when I purchased the car, the rain sensor and light sensor where missing from the windshield. The electrical connectors are there, but not the sensors.

Anyways, I found some on eBay and ordered them, my question is how do I attach them securely to the windshield? I believe they are glued to it, is it the same glue as a rearview mirror adhesive?

Any assistance is appreciated.

I watched a tech install mine (2001 E-Class with only the rain sensor) and he didn't use any type of glue. Since you have the connectors they must just hook on there.

I would assume they need to stick to the windshield somehow... The electrical connector alone wouldn't would it against the glass.

What I watched him do was replace my old one with a new one. So maybe there was already some adhesive in place.

Sorry my reply wasn't more helpful but one thing you have to be careful of is to use an adhesive that will allow the sensors to do their thing. I'd call a dealer to see about buying the product you need.
