Do you mean that it can still be turned on after the key is pulled, or you never see it go off. If the deck is bad, you may want to look at other options than replacing it with a factory unit.

It does turn off when the power is off. But when the ignition is on, it does not shut off when the on/off button is pushed. This is not a major inconvience in that I just turn the volume completly down when I don'twant it. But is there a simple explanation and solution? Thx

    My CL500 2001 with command system is acting crazy - the tape flap opens when you start the car and will do this 3 or 4 times when you drive away and beep each time - it will not accept a tape either - has anyone come across this or even better a fix for this? :) Thanks
