I have a 1996 Mercedes Benz e320. It has the Bose speakers and the becker tape/radio deck. I am wanting to install the Bose cd changer. How do I know if I'm already wired for one and if I'm not how hard is it to wire it in? Thanks

96 E320 has prewired connector for the CD changer in the trunk. For NA cars, its on the driver side store behind the trunk lining.

On the back left wheel well in my trunk there is a wiring connector that says amp on it. Is that it?

I already tried the soldering the aux cord in. Everything worked its just my soldering connections weren't strong enough.

On the left side (driver's side), pull out the liner, you will see a bundle of wires (theses wires are prewired for the CD changer). Your car (1996) still using the copper wiring (rather fiber optic of the 1999 & later year), you can add a CD player dirt cheap by buying a working CD player OEM MB # MC3196 or with a adaptor, you can use a Alpine CD changer (Alpine S601<S611.....up to Alpine S621) to work on your car. I had a adaptor & Alpine changer (somewhere in my garage's cabinet, I took out when I sold my W202 C280)....PM me, if you need more help with this topic.
