I want to replace the cassette Becker radio in my '87 560SL. I am looking for something with a CD. Is there an advantage to sticking with Becker? They seem to have limited models and dealers.

definately take the becker out. it is a terrible piece of electronic in this day in age. i recommend upgrading with anything new. new becker models are hard to find because they are usualy for a german market. i upgraded my 560 wit a new pioneer head unit. i upgraded the dash speakers to 4' alpine, and installed a custom shelf in the back with Jlaudio 6*9. THE SYSTEM IS GREAT! the read deck looks stock and has a steel mesh grill on top so it is super strong. TAKE YOUR OLD RADIO OUT!. CHECK www.crutchfield.com<br> they have goood stuff.
