My radio has the symptom of no sound:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163-m-class/2589593-sad-news-no-sound-2.html

after reading the above post, I’d decided to disassemble it, and replacing OOC8001-02 chip. I could remove the upper cover and DVD player, but I couldn’t remove the bottom cover. There are only 2 screws at the bottom, after I removed the 2 bottom screws, it won't move. How to remove the bottom cover to get access to the board? Thank you.

You have to remove everything to get to the three screws that are on the top portion of the board.

Take a photo of the upper portion and I will show you the three screws.

43spd, thanks for the instruction; I will take off all screws that I see to remove the cassette and everything else to see the board. I didn’t have the radio with me to take picture now. I think that I know those 3 screws that you are taking about; they are protruding through the bottom cover.

I hope it was easier than this…but not. Thanks again.
