Hi Beka. The best ways to get this code are to check in the owner's manual or booklet for the radio (I hope your ML came with one); to ask the previous owner, who must have kept a record; and to ask your local Mercedes dealership, who maintain a database of codes and can look them up for new owners.

I assume you are in Europe. Please fill out your vehicle and location details in User CP.

hey beka, and welcome to the forum. i found another way to figure out your pass code. there is a sticky thread in this forum where you can input your VIN number in a website and it will give you all the information about your car including the available option and the complete serial number of your radio. usually the code to your radio is the last 5 digits of your serial number. i hope this works out for you.

this is the link to the website i used: Checking VIN for Mercedes-Benz | CARInfo

This is probably the easiest way. I don't think the code is in your manual though. It should be on a sticker on the back of the radio, but due to age it may have fallen off. If the website doesn't work, I found mine by just calling the dealership and giving them the VIN.

Seeing it's a security code to prevent use of the radio after theft, they don't stick it on the radio. It's usually on a card attached to one of the owner's manuals. Some owners may have pencilled it into the radio manual.

What you're saying is logical, but on the back of the radio is where I found mine when I removed the radio. I'm the first and only owner and the radio had never been pulled before. I took it off the radio and then lost it, and ended up having to call the dealership for it when I sold the radio.

I suppose the radios come with the code attached from the supplier, and it's someone's job at the assembly plant to enter the code into the database next to your VIN and remove the sticker.
