Thanks khomer2 for your advice,
But this car is a second hand, and I didn't buy it from any Mercedes-Benz dealership !
It does not matter you get the code from documents that came with car originally or by contacting Mercedes. They will give it to you, same way I got as a second owner.

Our ML320 was written off about 10 days ago when a Jeep hit on glare ice.
The 99 Ml430 had the battery out of it and my wife lost the owners manual.
I was able to call MB and get the radio code which took all of 5 minutes.

When we first bought the ML320 used it needed the code and the very first day we had it I called
MBUSA and they gave me the radio code.

I gave you a thumbs up for confirming what I said.

But I am sorry for you loss hope no one was injured. Is the damage extensive and a total or could one do a simple rebuild with just bolt on parts, fender door etc from a pick apart yard?

Thanks for asking. The wife is perfectly fine. It is all cosmetic except for the radiator.
I already piked up a new hood with grille, headlight, upper support on top of the radiator from a local boneyard for under $300 total. I got a radiator for $110 from 1-800-Radiator. Fenders were fine.
I just have to paint the hood at a friends body shop which will be under $200.
The insurance paid me $375 more than I paid and I bought it back at $600. I am actually coming out ahead on this one.
We got very lucky and most important is my wife is unscathed.

Glad to here she was Ok, it does not take much to get an injury even at low speed. Six years ago 2 daughters and I were in the pick up, Us and 2 cars in front came to a rapid stop, the fourth did not. We wound up with varying combos of whip lash, concussion, or both. Concussions were not from striking our heads, it was brain striking skull, which i never knew could happen!! If she is having any signs of a concussion get her to a doc.

As to the pickup most damage was to the bed found one same color in Salt Lake. Drove down they lifted damage one off set the newt to me in place. Easiest body repair ever.
