I have a 02 s500, There is no sound coming from the radio and also it says no cd changer. even though the cartridge is in there. Any suggestions??

Cd Changer not Working

I also have a similair problem with my cd changer. My radio and everything else works fine but the cd's dont work. I filled the cartridge with original and even tried copied cd's but none of them worked. It would just skip over the cd number like its searching for a cd and then say there are no cd's even though its full of cd's. Anyone have any suggestions?

I believe both of your cars use the D2B fibre optic system. This system works on a ring principle, by that I mean the ring connects the CD player - Command and telephone. If the ring is broken for any reason, be it physical break or a flat battery, then the ring needs a wake up call. This is done using DAS.

Also if one of the units has a problem. ie Command, CD or Telephone, then this can break the ring.
