The door lock actuator motor on the driver side rear passenger door was definitely worn out and shot. I managed to obtain the actuator motor with the worm gear on the end from the likes on eBay, but German Audio Tech seems to also have them.

Before fully re-assembling the door panel, and I tested out the new actuatore motor in the door latch/lock module. It has no problems working in the locking motion when I press the lock button on my key. Pressing the unlock, I observed the motor doesn't even try to spin. No life from it.

I observed the voltage with my multi-meter across the two pins that run the motor and sure enough I hit what looked like 12V when pressing the lock button, but did not see any change when pressing the unlock button.

I don't see how it could be the wiring the harness in this door as it's only two wires that connect the motor. I have a feeling the polarity is reversed when it needs to lock/unlock and that simply is not happening.

I have a video detailing the behaviour.

I recently picked up an iCarSoft MB 1.0 to read any trouble codes on the door computer module for the left-hand side. So far it is not reporting ANYTHING related door locks having an issue.

This has me thinking that a component for reversing polarity in the door computer module could be bad, but I am curious if anyone has hits this problem before.
