Hi folks. I'm a B+ mechanic, working on my GF's SLK230. As ID'd by this forum, her "blinking low fuel light" was confirmed by the dealer to be a faulty shut-off valve to the charcoal canister.

My question whether this sort of R&R can be done in a one car garage, and if so, what can I expect? Obviously, if one has all the correct tools, but again, I'm a b+ mechanic that can perform most DIY wrenching tasks with relative ease.

Is this something best left to the dealer?
