My 2005 C230 kompressor is at the dealer for a loose trim. They said their routine check of the battery-load test it sounded like-shows it is a bit weak.

$299 for the "special" battery. I haven't looked at this car, but my BMW's OEM battery was indeed a rather special-looking beefy unit. Then again, I suppose all replacement batteries would be that size.

If not at the dealer, how can I find a strong battery for this car? I was trying to Google but see both 48 and 93 listed...

By the way, isn't the battery easy to change? Up under the hood on the passenger side? (Obviously I can't look at the car to check at the moment)

go home and call Mercedes Roadside assistance and tell them you need a new battery. They will replac the battery (on your driveway) for around $149 including labor.
