Im really confused because i swore a couple of peoples post you called out were already in the right section. Unless you had just moved them and i missed it. Kinda hard to tell with no mod cp access and no redirects.

and to be fair i know its me your calling out on the radio thing and im telling you i did look, the 86 radio wiring is a little different and NO WHERE did any thread say all 4 speakers were powered by two sets of wires and all the diagrams i found had the wrong colors or had a fader or amp. I looked for two hours and couldn't find squat. Type 190e radio diagram or wiring etc in the search and you will see. Not trying to be a dick just saying and besides it gave us something to shoot the shit about and isn't that what forums are for ??

not singling anyone out as stated. radio thing was an example. its common knowledge that all older mercedes have the fader in the console and the HUs are 2 channels. as stated normally people bypass the whole mercedes wiring system and run independent wiring to the speakers.

Well that one thread in the Frequently Asked Questions - READ THIS FIRST! with the link titled 3. Adding An After Market Radio , which i did visit prior to asking didn't suggest any of that. I have the diagram saved for the my84 that was posted to help me and i see the one for my91 thats all over the net maybe we could add a quick thread in the FAQ's with some diagrams and some concise clear pointers. Especially for people like me that get the car with the radio missing and pre mangled wiring lol

a bit further down the following was quoted

Stereo wiring
Constant 12v- Red
Switched 12v- Black/Yellow
Illumination- grey/blue
Ground- Brown
antenna- Blue (single female spade connector)

More on Speakers:
Dash ( all years) = 4 inch
Door speakers ( 91+ or whenever they switched to alpine HUs) = 4 inch
rear deck ( pre 90) = 4 inch, but you can enlarge the hole in the deck to fit up to 6 inches easily.
Rear deck (91-93) = 5.25 -6 in, bolts up to the factory speaker pod inplace of teh stock speaker.
in the rear Deck you can fit 6x9s but it may require modification to the metal part of the rear deck.

it is highly recommended that you run independent wiring to each speaker.
in addition ur stereo thread was deleted with an expiring re-direct.
