Im new here and hope everyones having a great day ,question is, just got my hands on a 1986 560 sel,5.7 litre.its been sitting a while and on start up there seems to be no throttle response. or very little, it has fresh gas and
plenty of fuel pressure and ran fine when it was parked nearly 1 year ago, where should i start?

This happened to me once. It was the last link that goes down to the throttle body below the intake manifold. It had gotten stuck. Have an assistant press on the pedal and carefully review the working of the linkage. I'll bet you find one or more are stuck.

Makes sense, the linkages is the only connection from the accelerator pedal.

so the message here is, once a month if you open the hood, lube the throttle linkages :)
