Re:lee2375: Use a 255/35/18 in the rear. That is recommended.

Thank you lee2375. Why can not put 255/40/18 in the rear? How about 245/40/18? I need the ride more comfy on the tough road. Do you think 35 series is too thin for that? need suggestion again thank you.

Brabus Monoblock VI 18' 8.5 all 4s

You need to keep the OD of the front and rear tire as close as possible. (more)

Generally speaking, if you go wider in the rear (an avergae stagger is 20-30mm) you would need to drop 5% in the aspect ratio to keep the sidewall height the same. The 5% drop in ratio compensates for the added section width. Therefore, the sidewall height on the 225/40 and 255/35 should be close to identical. Remember, sidewall height is a function of the aspect ratio and the width. A 40 series tire will not have the same height in all widths. It is simply 40% of the width.

Re: lee2375...again....

Thank you again for your information really appreciated. What do you think if put 235/40/18 in the Rear and 225/40/18 in the Front(with Brabus' Suspension), still ok? I think i would go with 40.
