Hello I am a new used owner of a 1991 190e 2.3l 5spd, in which the car is perfect except for a cracked catalytic converter. The crack is on the weld before the converter where the mount is, so rewelding it will be a pain since it is under the mount. I was just wondering, is it possible to return the converter back to the stealership since there is a defect with the part or should I just bite the bullet and swipe the plastic on a new OEM converter? I had Audi's in which the exhaust would crack, and they would give me a new pipe. Thanks guys---dirtyhands

Well, if it were 1992 you'd have a chance under the 1 year warranty.
