Dear my MB owners

Please let me know the differences between
2002 and 2003 c-coupe 230, USA.
There are only 2002 models in dealershop.
If you allow me to know the differences, it will
be great help for me to choose my new MB 230.

Thanks

The 2003's have an all new 1.8 liter engine. It is lighter because it is aluminum and smoother because it has balance shafts. It get better gas milage.

Auto-dimming mirrors are no longer standard equipment. Bi-xenon projector headlights are optional. Two types of wood trim are options. The cd-changer is now available as a factory installed option at a much lower price.

There aren't any performance mods for the 1.8L motor and it could be years before there are any. The 2.3L has a loyal following for the past 5 years and there are several good aftermarket kits to get more power out of it. Also the '03 is missing the fresh air thumbwheel inbetween the center dash vents. If you can get an '02 with the options you want, go for it.

I bought the 2002 model because the engine is proven and I did not want to test the new 1.8L. Also, the torque curve on the 2002 engine is much better. The small difference in milage is not enough to worry about.

You should be able to get a much better "deal" on the 2002. I do not think you will be disapointed with the 2002. I traded a ML320 on the C230 and am having a lot of fun with it. (four weeks old with 2000 miles)[:)]
