Drove my 03 S500 tonight and noticed a "purple" looking diagram where the mileage is displayed. I am assuming pixel damage! Can anyone confirm? If so, what can be done to repair it?

LCD screen needs to be replaced. Sometimes it can fix itself or mostly disappear when the display warms up. It also has a chance of disappearing and fixing itself over time specifically if it is on and warmed up for long periods of time (driving long distances for example) . If you do a Google search for "mercedes pink shrimp" you will see other people with the same issue. It seems to affect every mercedes with these types of LCD screens such as the W210, W208, R230, W220 etc.
