It looks like it was glued down wrong, so I'm not sure what you could do. Try folding it under when the top is down.

have you tried to heat it with a blowdryer to see if it has any give. the folding under sounds like a great idea.

Any suggestions on how to get the bottom seal/skirt to sit down, it is the same on both sides.

Common complaint.

It occurs because it is folded away in the boot like that.

You have to spend the extra 2 minutes and make sure it is fold down and under befor closing the top and boot lid.

You can re-train it. Start putting it away properly.

Looks to me like the bond pulled before it was fully cured. Mine did that, I had to peel it back up and re bond it. And I didn't latch it down for a few days after redoing the bond. Of course my bond was only one day old and the canvas was new. So on that's been set for years may be more of a problem.
