I probably posted a thread on these years ago, but Trev sent me a new one, and with the dubious search function, I'll just post them up.

While not all are shown mounted to UNIMOGs, they are in the same ballpark. The big Green one on the tractor

Neat!

I was hoping to see some portable lumber mill setups that were PTO powered, or hydraulic powered. That's one of the projects I'm wanting to get going on, once I have some shop space.

Here's one to get you started:

Edit, sorry, you were probably seeking a "woodmiser" or similar? My mistake, I thought firewood.

Nice setup for firewood, that's for sure. I'm thinking of something trailer mounted, PTO or hydro powered. Trailer would be a portable lumber mill, plus have storage on board the trailer to stack completed lumber. Would also have to have some kind of lift to move logs around.

Tow the whole setup out to the wood lot, produce your lumber, haul back.

Yay, another project.

Field service band saws, oh my, but with enough blade pitch you could make some real short work of cord wood, fence posts & rail and all manner of plastic culvert pipe. Not my first choice but if you got it, working. Obviously based on the fact that there's more than one running around, it's a thing.

I remember that apache setup, twas very slick.

OK, here are a few.

I'm pretty sure that I have more, but it might take some looking.
I'll put them here for now, and if I find a bunch more, I'll start a thread.

As a bonus, I'll throw in a soft-focus shot of a stout log splitter. I think it wins the 'Least Dainty' log splitter award.
I'd like one just like it, but they are probably rare, and the freight charge would be up there.

As another bonus, I'll add the previously posted "Amazing Wood Pile."
