hi guys, just noticed a long hiss comes out from the front passenger footwell everytime the alarm is pressed to unlock the doors. I believe the distributor block is there but why would it need pressure from the PSE with the engine off? PSE can create either vacuum or pressure. On closing, it's fine. Do you think block is shot?

A godzillion thanx.

Some more info will help us to diagnose the problem.

Try turning down the radio and the blower fan off so the car is totally silent when you drive it (apart from the engine). Then drive it around and try to listen if the hissing sound comes when you accelerate or if the PSE pump starts pumping. And try listening with the car in idle if there is any hissing.

Do all the doors lock and btw?

It's kind of weird, because the vacuum lines from the PSE pump go directly to the doors and have NOTHING to do with the vacuum manifold in the right front passenger footwell. Unless you miswrote and meant the right rear passenger seat?

Take a look at the PSE pump and see if something looks out of place, maybe one of the vacuum lines are put on wrong? :p
