Just picked up my new 1994 s600 coupe with just over 107,000 miles on it from a great guy that i have been trying to buy this coupe from for the last 2 years. i am now the 3rd owner and i am having the time of my life driving it. I was going to purchase a SL500 roadster from another guy on friday and i reached out to the owner and at the last minute we were able to put a deal together for his S600 coupe. The car is in great shape and has been well cared for. check out these great shots.

Your perseverence paved off!..well done.

Those Merc' V12's are such a mighty motor..look as though they should be in a world war 2 fighter or similar!

Congratulations and best wishes on what appears to be a beautiful car.

It also appears you have the higher rated horsepower motor in your car, the one with 408 hp, not the (slightly) detuned 390 hp in all the motors that followed the line.

Plan to keep your car for a very long time and maintain it to the standards the previous owner has kept it. You have a present and future classic car that will not likely be replicated any time soon.

I would be happy to advise you on any details of ownership particular to your car that you wish to know.

You have an excellent jumping-off point for your ownership experience!

Most of all, ENJOY the experience. And be spoiled for any other car.

what oil brand and weight to use

just wanted to get some feedback from other s600 v12 owners as to which brand and weight of oil to use in my s600. Not finding a standard when it comes to the best oil for the v12.

I also use 0W-40 in my 600, although I did put a liter of 5W-30 in recently with no problems. The climate here is mild anyways.

If you look in the manual, where it talks about fluids, it will give you a temperature chart regarding what viscosity of oil to put in your car. I would just use that.
