Crazy!

Nice going. You've got lots of guts taking your hand and eyes off for the pics.
It seems like it was at night too?
Did someone take the pics over your shoulder?
Where did you do this?
How fast did you get up to?

Car still had LOTS more left but I was coming up on another car and slowed down. Didn't want to scare them too much. The ride was smooth, and still had lots of feel in the steering wheel. It was more stable than in my 993 C4 cab on the same stretch.

Re: Crazy!

I came off of the throttle when I took the pic. I had my eyes on the road. I used a digital camera that has autofocus. It was sitting on the steering wheel so I didn't have to compose the picure. The auto exposure makes it look like night as it sees the brightness on the speedometer and sets exposure accordingly. It is a stretch of interstate (southside Virginia) where there is no place to run radar for 5 miles and has a wide median that is wooded. My partner has hit 150 in his 996, and we routinely travel to and from work hitting 120's when there is no other traffic (usually the case).

If you start with the display that has the odometer and trip odometer and use the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, the digital speedometer is the next "page".

You scroll through the Odometer on the 2001 E class and should find it there..
