Attached is a procedure for checking the MAF sensor. It will help avoid the blind replacement of MAF sensors.. Seems that a lot of MAF failures are caused by incorrectly sealing the air filter/system causing sand and debri to damage the sensor.

In lots of other cases, the MAF sensor was perfectly fine and the problem was elsewhere..

Just to let you know, that document is almost 5 years old. It has been replaced multiple times with updates for testing and parts. The new document is about 27 pages long and covers all the models. If you want it pm me.
