in the morning my car starts right up with the choke on. during the day if i let it sit for about an hour, its hard to start. once a month i get cylinder 1 misfire check engine light. when the car does start, it feels like its missing for about 5 seconds and then it smooths out and everything is normal. somebody please help me. i dont know what it could possibly be. any suggestions?

Hmmm - I'm not 100% positive, and for your sake I hope I'm wrong, but this is a classic symptom of a failing head gasket...

Pull the #1 plug and check for discoloration or coolant smell on the tip of the plug.

The 'missing' at start up could be your car burning off coolant in the cylinder. At shut down, the coolant system remains pressurized until the engine cools back down to ambient temperature. With the engine off, the pressurized coolant will force it's way past a faulty head gasket and into the cylinder. Do you see any white exhaust smoking at start up? Is your coolant level dropping at all over a week's time?

Good luck...
