I'm trying to remove the rear door panel, stupid window regulator gave up on me like alot of people here. Anyways, i'm having trouble figuring out how to get to the screws behind the trim to remove the panel. I did a search and found that your suppose to use a putty knife to move some latches out of the way, can someone tell me if i'm even doing this right? Here's a picture of how i'm trying to do it. The arrow shows where i'm trying to insert the feeler gauge i'm using. i've already removed the screw in the arm rest. Thanks for the help, i'll post a DIY once i'm done.

Yep - that's the right place. I found a putty knife a bit too crude and used one of the narrower blades on my pocket knife. Will send you more info and pics by private e-mail. Can't post them since they belong to MB.[

]The two latches are where your red arrow is pointing. There is also a metal spring clip at the front "corner". Push the top latch up, the lower latch down and try and compress the clip at the front somewhat. The front bit comes out first.
Ok let's get one thing straight here - you don't "unlatch" anything per-se, what you do is just twist, or swing the latches like hands on a clock to a side. If you're having problems swinging the latches to a side then maybe someone was there before you and snapped them off and glued them back on. Happens more often than you'd care to know []
Try pressing the wooden panel INTO the door slightly (i.e. as if you were trying to press it back into place) and then swing the latches to side. If that doesn't work then they are glued in place. Go back to the front corner and compress the metal spring clip back a bit and the front should pop out. Then slide the whole thing off. Don't be afraid too much of broken latches. When it comes to reassembly a "broken" panel holds just as firm as the one with latches still in place. It's the front metal clip that's important.
