I am having a lot of electrical/software problems with my 2002 G500. Is there way to fix them or I have to live with it. I like my 2002 model and do not want to replace it for a newer one (mostly because of the headliner and rear view mirrors ). The local MB dealer was not able to help so far.

Problem fix for the 2002 Gwagens...

I to have an 02 wagen.
It was back to the shop for many visit with electronic problems.
Searching a recall site I found that the 02's had a recall on the alternator, or to be more specific, the regulator.
Not thinking too much about it, I let it slide.
Then one evening while out, the big red warning popped up.
Take it to the shop...No charge.
I was within a mile of the Mbenz shop so I stopped in.
Yep, Needs an alternator! They said.
Well to tell you the truth, that was the end of my visits to the shop for electronic problems.
That alternator must have been faulty from the get go. Sending the voltage out of the processors ability to handle the surges.
Now you do what you want, but I know what I would do....
