I am considering to purchase a new 2008 e350 with P1 and sports pkg.

In my area, I know a similarly equipped 2009 e350 is selling for around $46k.

Given it being a year older, the 2009 COMAND upgrades, and the 1.9% financing on the 2009, what is a fair price for the 2008?

With the incentives on the 2009, should I even be considering the 2008?

Anything else I should be considering?

Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Stop considering both and get a slightly used 07 or 08 and then wait for the 2010's to get more reliable around 2012 and then pick one up. If you get a new 08 leftover or 09 now, both will depreciate like a rock when the 2010 is released in just 2-3 months.

Hi MB5j,
Which area do you live in . I am looking to get a similar car E350 4MATIC P1/Sport and have not been able to get anything lower than 50k.

Thanks

I am in Chicago. $50k is a ridiculous price. Dealers have a $6k factory to dealer incentive on the '09s. So you should expect to pay around $6k less than invoice. Keep looking. Good luck.

You could be correct. I was told by someone that the '09s were selling for $46k in the Chicago area but did not actually get that price first hand. Not that I couldn't but I didn't attempt to. I had my eye on an '08 from the beginning and we ended up purchasing an '08 P1, sport, ipod, pana for around $43. I thought we could have gotten it for even less but was just tired of the back and forth.
