What do you guys suggest? Mine is in great shape and I'd really like to keep it that way - I've seen a lot of cracked ones lately and I'd love to avoid replacing mine. I searched a bit but couldn't find a definitive choice; what do y'all think?

Intuitively, I would have thought extreme cold would be the cause of these cracks. I'm glad to hear it is UV and extreme heat and not the opposite.
A good UV protection, like Meguiars' Utilimate Protectant, window tint and a window shade will keep you off crack pretty much forever. I base this on the previous ownership of a 71 Skylark that had a dash that looked literally like it did in April 1971. I say previous ownership because I even-traded the Buick for my Benz a few weeks ago.
