For those that have done this job: Can someone please advise regarding if we should be pre-lubricating the tracks (with silicone grease) and pivot point (with oil) a new Genuine Mercedes Window Regulator; Front Right for Power Window P/N: 140720304 prior to installation. The new one from Mercedes seems a bit dry.

Thanks Much In Advance.

Absolutely lubricate it liberally in every area that rotates or slides. W140 windows are extremely heavy, and any friction will make regulators fail quickly. Use a quality synthetic grease that won't harden with age.

I recently serviced my regulator and squirted the shit out of it with silicone lubricant. Do it. Once you seal up the door, you can't. Get it while the door is apart.
