I think a standard DOT-approved one is OK. I believe that's what I'm using.<br> The Haynes calls for Dextron II ATF.

I just put the power steering fluid I had on my shelf in the garage in, no problems. It was for an old van my parents had, and we never threw it away, it's still good.
About the fluid, the one I have in my car right now does not look the same as the DOT on...
