hi,
I'm curious,
I'd like to know if you can reduce the poweroutput of an engine, more specificly of a 190E 2.0 injection.
the engine has now 142 bhp and I'd like to reduce it a bit.

If you guys want to know why in gods name I want to reduce the power of a car, it's because:
first of all it's my first car, and I don't want a car that has a lot of power when I accually can't drive yet, it's just sense of responsability.
second: I think my parents wouldn't like it that I drive around in a little bomb... I know, a 142 bhp isn't that much, and 9.5sec from 0 to 62 isn't that fast, but I think its still a bit to fast for when you just got you license...

anyway, does anyone know IF this is possible, and if so, HOW??? maybe something on the injection???

well, hope some of you know this,

thanx

And yes, I have absolutely no problem at all with me driving slow and responsible, but the problem lays with my parents.

I now have a golfcar for in our garden, and 99% of the time it's driven by me. So I'm trying to drive as responsible and good as possible so my parents would notice...
Hope it works...

thanks,
I appreciate that.

but,
I have one more question:
The car is already tuned by AMG in the early days, and has now 142hp, so I don't get it why it would hurt if I put it back to 122 BHP.

hm,
thanks anyway
