Yes, either the wiring or the buzzer contacts to the drivers door...got to pull out the buzzer from the junk car, switch and see.

Yes but swap the switches first! So much easier and who knows what you'll find?

I had shorted / joined the two wires going to the door switch. No joy.

The flasher is one of the functions of the multifunction relay. That relay is rectangular and resides in the fuse box.
Is the multifunction relay the rathaer long rectangular relay in the fuse box? THe one which has pins as well as wiring going to it. When I unplug it, the pins do separate but a binch of wires still connect to the relay (pins are in the center and the wires are on either side). I could not see how to disconnect the wires but I did not look close enough to figure it out either.
