Hey guys,

Just curious. Not planning to do the project (maybe if I had unlimited amounts of money) but I was wondering if anyone here knew of a 2.6 that was turbocharged? I have seen numerous four cylinder 190's turbocharged, but no 2.6's. Is there something that prevents the six cylinder from being able to become turbocharged? If you have come across one, any links or videos?

Thanks very much everyone.

The question is, why turbo charge a 2.6 when you can a 2.3-16? Most people who can afford to do a custom turbo on a car would most likely pick something they will get most HP from the start hence a 16 valve. I'm pretty sure it's possible to turbo a 2.6 but why would they?

engine component expense for one, ten 2.6 parts to every one 16v part. and 3x the price difference.

$200 for a clutch pack for a 2.6

3/4 of the same parts and i different part for a 16v runs you $600...
the 16v ownership comes deep pockets ..(most of which have cobwebs from replacement parts)

Yes you can. But it won't last long unless you change to steel headgasket, low compression pistons, stronger rods, and port the intake. Efi + DIS and you get yourself min 400HP and 500 Tq and from there you can take it quiet close to 1000hp but obviously you need money to do this. I figured with about 10K you can do a full setup that will run you at least 500HP

Sorry for threadjacking, but LAMF, when are we going to see the blue-black beast?!?! Everytime I lurk through here I see little hints and your sig description doesn't exactly make it sound boring. What's the update?

Keeping it hidden until everything is complete and it will be revealed.
