I have to get a new set of pads from my CLK and I was wondering if anyone has them and what you guys think about the quality of the pad and whether there is less brake dust from these pads. Let know

I put Porterfields front and rear on both my Cadillac
and my daughter's Probe earlier this year. The Probe has rear shoes (drum brakes) which Porterfield also
supplies. I was very happy with the precise fit
of the pads.

In both cases there was much less dust on the wheels
as compared to the stock pads and especially compared
to my wife's SLK. I plan to change the SLK to
Porterfields when the factory pads are worn.

It's unlikely that you will be able to get
Porterfields that accommodate wear sensors.

I put 14K miles on the Cadillac since changing the
pads and the rotors are wearing very evenly with
very little scoring. The pads themselves show
almost no sign of wear.

I used the anti-squeal compound supplied with the
pads and I did not experience any brake squeal.

I followed the break-in instructions supplied
with the pads.
