[:(]I have a sprinter van that i have lovingly converted into a camper. Recently a piston has gone and it seems as though i need a new engine. Has anyone got any advice on changing the engine, is it a good idea, etc, and what chances are there of it happening again, it had only done 154,000 miles. Its a 308D.

That's a pity.... yes, reconditioned engines should be not too hard to get. I'd assume you are in Europe?
The good old 2.2 litre engines (no CDI) are very reliable - the engine in your 308D called it the day too early.
