Poor Radio Reception - 2000 SL

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else experiences poor radio reception/static with their older Benz. None of the other cars I drive have any issues in the areas I drive in. Could something be wrong with my radio? Any input?

91 500SL 37k,90 300SE sold, 91 300E sold , 92 300E137k ,02 Kia Sedona ,I know..... its a Mini van.

You have a pretty modern SL compared to my 91, I have bad reception because I put after market unit in and had to run 10' antenna extension from HU to trunk mounted antenna,old system had radio head located in the trunk next to antenna so it had great signals.
