Consider this: The amount of gas saved in a year by driving a prius can buy you one tank of gas for the SL.... well ith 4$+ gas by next year eAspenwood might be the only one who can drive his SL on weekends...

Point 1. J's (name withheld unless he chooses to reveal it) purchase and daily use of his Prius helps ensure there will be more gas available for me to put into my SL.

Point 2. He was considering selling his 560 due to relocation but he DIDN'T! Kudos, my man, kudos.

He stays!

errr... pointing this out probably wont help the vote results but this is actually the second prius we've bought. Sure, its kinda ugly and not near as cool as my 560SL, but there's really no other new (practical) car I like more! I could go in to the many reasons why its a great car besides the obvious ones, but I'll save that for the prius forums.

if you're gonna ban me it should be for a better reason, like because I'm not all that mechanically knowledgeable or i have a dorky alias like eAspenwood.

Yeah, well, you're not the only one. We looked at a Prius, but couldn't justify the cost for the amount of miles it would get. We spent less and got a Civic hybrid after we sold the truck.

The Civic gets driven about 100 miles a day, which translates to 2 gallons of regular gas. The truck ate up three times that much and needed the medium grade to keep from pinging and rattling itself to death. Even taking into account that the truck was paid off and the Civic has a $300 a month car payment, we're still ahead each month.

I`m with Dig.

Surely somewhere in the American Constitution it says that every Citizen has the right to bear arms and drive a car of dubious merit!

Furthermore it would seem callous to blackball a member who has an R107 (and apparently the best version no less) whilst allowing an R107-less host to remain.

No sir, room for all here.

(Expect that`s me gone then.)

Yeah, I really liked the civic hybrid too; it actually drives a little better than the prius and is better-looking. I went with the prius cuz its a hatchback ( I can throw my bike in the back) and the extra geeky tech features like bluetooth, smart key, back-up cam, ESC, which are hard to find in a car in the 25k price range.

Hey, just took this pic on the way out. They seem to be getting along:

Well, understand that I'm not making this decision, I'm not even voting on the poll. This one is all yours.
