Ok. Here's what's going on now. I took my Dremel and buffed all the contacts on the back of the instrument cluster and the contacts on the fuse box. Everything works now..........almost. When I turn on either turn signal, they work as they should, but, in addition, the seat belt warning light flashes, and the temp gauge goes all the way to hot and stays there, and the gas gauge beats in cadence with the turn signals. After the signals go off, everything returns to normal after about five seconds. Any suggestions , anyone? The car in question is my 1982 380sl.

I considered that, but I don't know where the ground is or what it looks like. I've been told on this forum that it is brown, but I don't see a brown wire anywhere behind the cluster or harness. Nobby said he ran a separate ground directly to the frame. But where exactly would the other end attach to?
