Maybe when the value opens to provide heat to the core the fluid drops enough to set off the sensor in the tank. I'm new to the w203 -- but this does happen with other models when you have just enough coolant and a touchy sensor.

I would top of up the coolant and see if it goes away.

alright ill try that. i had a leak before, where the hose goes on the coolant tank but i rapped it in tape and topped it off and it stopped the leak and then when it was time to start using my heat it started showing up again. ill check it in the morning and let you know what happens

Yes - you need to fix that hose. Tape should only be used to get the car to the shop - it is not going to allow the system to properly pressurize and vapor -- IE coolant is going to leak out.

Also --- the system may have air in it.
